This is a key role that will combine deep analytical work with external engagement. You will act as a subject matter expert on our sustainability data, frameworks, and methodologies, working closely with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.The role is well suited for someone with experience as an ESG analyst or ESG manager in asset management, a pension fund, or a similar institutional investment environment, but all candidates with relevant sustainability data experience from the financial industry are encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Act as a subject matter expert on sustainability data, frameworks, and methodologies used by institutional investorsContribute to the development and refinement of Matter’s analytical frameworks, models, and methodologies, including for ESG data extractionSupport client engagements by explaining data, assumptions, and results in a clear and structured wayEngage directly with clients and partners as a trusted advisor on sustainability analysis and reportingAnalyze and interpret large sustainability datasets and translate insights into clear, actionable outputsStay up to date on key sustainability frameworks, standards, and investor requirements (e.g. SFDR, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, ISSB, etc.) and ensure alignment of Matter’s solutionsCollaborate closely with product, data, and commercial teams to ensure sustainability data solutions align with client needsContribute to thought leadership, presentations, and written materials as neededQualifications:Degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or a related fieldExperience in institutional finance, such as asset management, pension funds, banks, or similarHands-on experience as an ESG analyst, ESG manager, or in a comparable sustainability-focused roleStrong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and regulations used by institutional investorsExcellent data analysis skills and a structured, logical approach to problem solvingStrong analytical capabilities combined with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and convincinglyExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Nordic language skills are a plus)Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, scale-up environmentWhat We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing ESG and data-driven companExposure to leading institutional investors and platforms across Europe, Asia, and North AmericaCollaborative, supportive, and informal work environmentHybrid role, with some flexibility to work from homeLunch, coffee, a great office, and a bunch of really good colleaguesYou can choose to work either out of our London office or our Copenhagen office.
