As a Business Sales Executive at Pret, you will play a pivotal role in driving store performance and regional growth. This dynamic position combines operational leadership with strategic sales development, focusing on both in-store excellence and B2B revenue generation. You will be responsible for leading teams, optimising store operations, and building strong relationships with local businesses and corporate clients. Your proactive approach will help shape customer experiences, enhance profitability, and support Pret’s mission to deliver fresh food and outstanding service across the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Lead and manage all aspects of store operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management, with a focus on local team engagement and performance.
* Drive sales and profitability through effective cost control, upselling strategies, and locally relevant promotional initiatives.
* Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by coaching, training, and developing team members in line with Pret’s values and franchise goals.
* Ensure full compliance with Pret’s brand standards, operational procedures, and health and safety regulations.
* Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a consistent Pret experience.
* Prepare and analyse financial reports, including P&L statements and budget forecasts, to track performance and identify areas for improvement across franchise locations.
* Collaborate with franchise support teams and departments such as marketing and supply chain to implement initiatives and achieve business objectives.
* Lead B2B sales efforts, identifying and securing new business opportunities to grow local revenue streams.
* Be responsible for corporate revenue generation and maintaining strong client relationships within the local business community.
* Ensure daily in-store transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, maintaining operational excellence.
* Explore and implement local loyalty discount partnerships with other businesses in the area to strengthen community ties.
* Advise customers on product capabilities and limitations, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.
* Quote prices, credit terms, delivery schedules, and payment arrangements tailored to local client needs.
* Arrange delivery and installation of goods where applicable, ensuring seamless service.
* Conduct follow-up visits to ensure customer satisfaction and secure repeat business.
* Maintain accurate records of sales and handle customer complaints professionally.
* Stay informed about product developments and suggest improvements relevant to the local market.
* Study work methods and procedures, compute standard times, and recommend cost-saving measures tailored to franchise operations.
* Manage service purchases, client payments, and contractual arrangements.
* Collaborate with senior franchise and Pret leadership to define product/service offerings and set sales targets.
* Conduct market research and analyse customer feedback on products, pricing, and packaging to inform local strategy.
* Compile and analyse sales data to inform marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
* Manage customer accounts and ensure high levels of service.
* Recruit and train junior sales staff to support long-term franchise growth.
* Produce strategic reports and recommendations for franchise and Pret senior management.
* Monitor competitor activity and stay current with industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Skills Required:
* Strong leadership and team management abilities

* Operational and financial awareness (P&L, budgeting)
* B2B relationship building and local business development
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving
* Adaptability in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems
* Knowledge of local market trends and competitor activity
Experience:

* Experience in retail or hospitality management

* Proven track record in sales and business development

* Team leadership and staff training experience

* Financial reporting and budget management

* Customer service and complaint resolution

* Operational compliance and health & safety knowledge

* Experience working with local businesses and communities
