Responsibilities
Security incident management – such as suspicious packages, bomb threats, protests, etc.
Patrolling site perimeters – taking necessary action to preserve perimeter security.
Controlling entry and exit – managing control room and gate operations and ensuring all visitors are dealt with efficiently.
Drone operator duties at selected sites.
Qualifications
Background: At least 3 years prior Military Service, or currently serving in any arm of the British Military, regular or reserves.
Age: Between 18 and 57 years of age at re-enlistment.
Fitness Eligibility: Medically fit (MFD or better) with a Body Mass Index below 32.
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence with less than 8 penalty points.
Previous Service Check: Previous service records will be checked and final authorisation to proceed will be given by the Army Personnel Centre.
Gap since leaving service: For former substantive Cpl/LH and above ranks, no more than a 10 year gap; for former non‑substantive Cpl/LH and below ranks, no more than a 6 year gap.
Eligibility for waiver: Applicants slightly outside criteria may apply; waiver may be granted subject to approval and interview processes.

Entry level salary £26,849 (Pte) incrementally increasing to £29,269 (Pte) over 4 years.
Full career pathway and promotion opportunities with salary range from £30,374 (LCpl) to £56,283 (WO1).
