Job Role & Responsibilities:
* Conduct reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across a variety of manufacturing, packaging, and processing equipment
* Carry out electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics to minimise downtime
* Collaborate with internal teams to prioritise and complete engineering tasks efficiently
* Ensure all engineering activities adhere to food safety and health & safety standards
* Accurately complete documentation and maintain audit-ready records
* Identify and recommend improvements for increased efficiency, safety, and reliability
* Contribute to continuous improvement and risk-reduction initiatives
* Support with installations, modifications, and equipment upgrades
The ideal candidate will have:
* Time-served, apprentice-trained engineer with a formal electrical qualification
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
* Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
* Strong fault-finding abilities both electrical and mechanical
* 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
* A proactive, hands-on attitude with a passion for engineering excellence
Desirable Skills:
* IOSH qualification or other Health & Safety credentials
* PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience
* Familiarity with food industry compliance standards
