BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What will yoube doing?

Join our two-year training programme and gain hands-on experience in every stage of software engineering—from design to commissioning.
You’ll learn to create functional specs, configure PLC and SCADA systems, and carry out both factory and site testing.
Along the way, you’ll collaborate with friendly teams across engineering, estimating, and project management, while building strong client relationships.
We’ll guide you through company policies and help you plan and deliver projects on time and within budget.
It’s a supportive environment where you’ll grow your skills, contribute to exciting work, and feel part of something meaningful.

What you'll bring:

* Graduating in 2024 or 2025 with a 2:1 in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science
* Love solving problems and diving into new challenges
* Great with people and enjoy working in a team
* Passionate about tech and software engineering
* Strong analytical thinker with a curious mind
* Confident communicator in English, both written and spoken
* Eligible to work in the UK
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence

What will make you stand out:

* Experience working with PC/PLC equipment.
* Experience and knowledge of PLC programming – ladder diagram and function blocks.
* Understanding of networks/network equipment and communication protocols like Ethernet and Modbus.
