Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a Reservations Agent to be the go-to person for guests booking their stay at Hyde London City. You’ll play a key role as the initial contact for guests, providing top-notch service, making guests feel at home, and finding ways to boost sales.
What You’ll Do
1. Answer guest enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
2. Stay informed about hotel updates and local events.
3. Quote rates, process, and confirm reservations by email or phone, following departmental guidelines. Secure bookings and handle no-shows or late cancellations as needed.
4. Prepare and distribute reports to keep the team informed and operations efficient.
5. Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to ensure accurate data entry, follow pricing strategies, and stay updated on revenue strategies, promos, and offers.
6. Work with the Sales Manager to identify potential sales leads and follow sales strategies.
7. Maximise sales through upselling and highlighting extra services or packages.
8. Coordinate with the Front of House team for smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
* Experience in a similar role within a 4/5 star hotel.
* Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Exceptional communication skills and fluent English.
* Experience with OPERA (Opera Cloud) and TARS is a plus.
* Experience with Accor hotels is beneficial but not required.
* Humble, open-minded, and team-oriented attitude.
* Willingness to try new approaches and learn.
* Enthusiasm to be part of a dynamic team and enjoy the journey.
