Job Title: Associate Scientist, Cell Therapy
Location: 100% on-site in Cambridge
Remote Flexibility: No; 100% Onsite
Contract Term: 6 months to start; 40 hours/week (potential to extend)
Experience required:
* Background in immunology – especially in NK cell, TCR-T and CAR-T cell biology
* This role will be a lot of time in the lab performing experiments towards building a donor section criteria for our Allogenic CAR-T call program.
As an Immunologist, you will join our Cell Therapy group, where we leverage top-notch CRISPR technology to fully unleash the power of cell-based therapy for autoimmune and Immuno-Oncology indications. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting experiments, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues, to reach desired goals
* Establishing and performing in vitro/in vivo assays to support NK cell, TCR-T and CAR-T related projects
* Using technical and literature knowledge to analyze and interpret results. Communicate research and development findings with internal and external teams/partners in a clear and concise manner
About You
Are you an Immunologist with a strong interest in genomic editing and cell therapy? Our ideal candidate will have a M.S. in Immunology, cell biology or related field with a solid background in immunology, especially in NK cell, TCR-T and CAR-T cell biology. * Ability to isolate immune cells from leukopak using magnetic based isolation methods, in vitro culture of primary T cells and perform in vitro assays, T cell killing assay, and cytokine profiling assay by ELISA or MSD is a must.
* Ability to perform multi- FACS profiling assay, cell proliferation assay, Incucyte based assays, and mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) assay is required.Experience with cell metabolic assays using instruments like Agilent Seahorse Analyzers is a plus.
* Experience with CRISPR gene editing and lentiviral transduction / AAV insertion in primary T cells and primary NK cells
* Experience with Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) to record detailed protocols and data in a timely manner.
* Publication of original scientific work in peer-reviewed journal(s) is a plus
