Core Telecom Ltd is a leading UK telecoms provider specialising in enterprise messaging solutions. We deliver high-quality bulk SMS services that enable businesses to engage customers, enhance communications, and drive growth.
We are now looking for a commercially driven Corporate SMS Account Manager to win new business, manage existing clients, and grow our retail SMS revenues. Based exclusively from our Head Office, near Leeds.
Role Purpose
The Corporate SMS Account Manager will focus on driving direct sales of bulk SMS services to UK and international customers. This is a revenue-generating role that combines proactive business development with hands-on account management. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, converting leads into active customers, and maximising revenue from existing accounts as well as being their point of contact for all telephony requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
* Proactively identify and prospect new corporate customers across key verticals (retail, financial services, healthcare, marketing agencies, etc.).
* Conduct outbound sales campaigns, generate leads, and build a strong pipeline.
* Deliver compelling product demos and presentations to decision-makers.
* Negotiate pricing and close new business to achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
Account Growth & Retention
* Own a portfolio of enterprise accounts and act as their primary contact.
* Develop account plans to drive revenue growth through upselling and increased SMS usage.
* Advise customers on best practices for bulk messaging campaigns to improve engagement and ROI.
* Monitor account activity and proactively address any issues to ensure long-term retention.
Commercial & Operational Coordination
* Collaborate with marketing to deliver targeted campaigns that generate inbound interest.
* Work closely with the routing and operations teams to ensure competitive pricing and delivery quality.
* Provide customer feedback to product teams to shape future enhancements.
Reporting & Targets
* Deliver accurate forecasts, sales reports, and revenue updates to management.
* Track performance against KPIs, ensuring consistent achievement of sales quotas.
* Analyse account performance to identify growth opportunities and risks.
Required Skills & Experience
* 3+ years' experience in B2B sales, ideally in telecoms, SaaS, or messaging.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong hunter mentality — comfortable with prospecting and closing new business.
* Knowledge of bulk SMS / A2P messaging and enterprise communications solutions.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Commercially astute with a results-driven mindset.
Desirable Skills
* Experience selling to marketing agencies, e-commerce, and large enterprises.
* Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation tools.
* Understanding of SMS campaign compliance (GDPR, PECR, opt-in regulations).
* Knowledge of APIs, SMPP, or messaging platform integrations (advantageous but not essential).
