SEO & Content Executive
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 DOE
Location: Peterborough Head Office
Contracted Hours: Office Based, 37.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

The Vacancy
What is the role
The focus of this role, within the search engine marketing team, will be to grow organic traffic and revenue. You will be responsible for executing both on-site and off-site optimisation strategies and reporting the results back to the team and wider business.
What you will do
* Grow organic traffic and revenue in line with forecasts and objectives
* Analyse and improve on-site and off-site SEO performance
* Carry out regular competitor keyword gap analysis and research to find new opportunities to drive organic strategy
* Perform regular keyword research in line with business objectives, season, and trends
* Optimise categories, sub-categories, and campaigns daily, considering seasonality and customer trends
* Write blogs with regular performance reporting, aligning with trade teams to grow organic traffic
* Conduct technical site audits to monitor crawl errors, page speed, core web vitals, redirects, and site structure
* Collaborate with the dev team to resolve site errors and identify opportunities, ensuring best practices
* Maintain and fix Google Search Console errors regularly
* Update Schema markup in line with best practices
* Audit and optimise XML sitemaps to follow best practices
* Maintain Robots.txt files across all sites
* Coordinate with the marketing team on link building projects to secure high-quality backlinks
* Stay updated on search industry news, insights, and Google algorithm updates

* Proven SEO experience (in-house or agency)
* Knowledge of SEO best practices for search rankings
* Ability to report on key performance metrics confidently
* Self-management skills to handle multiple projects
* Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and other SEO tools
* Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and their impact on SEO
* Copywriting experience
* Experience with eCommerce sites
* PPC knowledge (desirable)
* Retail or Fashion experience (desirable)
