We have an exciting opportunity within our Neurodevelopmental Services for a Clinical Lead who can support us with setting up and leading the development of our new Autism assessment and intervention service. Currently, most of these services are being delivered online but there we be a requirement to travel into the community within the midlands. Travel to the Northampton will also be required for attendance to team meetings and supervision. Successful candidates will have experience working at Principal level and have extensive experience in leading and developing as service within ASD assessments as well as leading and developing an MDT of skilled neurodevelopmental assessors. The candidate will have extensive experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and in the NICE approved diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2, DISCO, ADI-R or DIVA-5. Although this role would be home based, the post holder will be required to travel into the community within the midlands so full drivers licence is desirable. In order to be eligible, you will need to be registered with HCPC and have experience leading and developing an ASD diagnostic service. Main duties of the job The Role This Clinical Lead role will suit an experienced Principal level Psychologist or Principal Psychologist looking to progress into a Consultant level role on apart time basis. The role will partly draw upon the clinical expertise of the applicant when working directly with patients, and partly involve leadership responsibility for the clinical running of MDT diagnostic team. The team will consist of individuals drawn from psychology, occupational therapy, SALT and administration support andwill work closely with the Clinical Team Lead for Neurodevelopmental services. The successful applicant will work closely with the Service Director and Associate Director of Psychology to set up the service operationally and clinically and remain accountable for delivering against the contractually agreed KPIs as the project progresses. Due to the emphasis on delivering services digitally, the successful applicant will need to have substantial experience in conducting online Autism assessments as well as being able to train and support staff in being able to deliver high quality assessments in this way. The post holder will report to the Service Director and receive clinical supervision and mentoring from the Associate Director of Community Partnerships. They will also be able to take advantage of the extensive CPD opportunities that St Andrews offers.
