The Role: Reporting to the Director of Operations and relevant governance committees, the SEMO General Manager will be responsible for: Providing strategic leadership across the business, ensuring delivery of regulatory, operational and commercial objectives; Overseeing the effective delivery of all core market functions including operations, settlements, stakeholder engagement and compliance activities; Leading governance, risk management and regulatory compliance activities across the organisation; Building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators, policymakers, market participants and industry stakeholders; Leading financial planning, resource management and capability development across the business; Driving innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives; Other duties as outlined in the full job description The Person: The successful SEMO General Manager will meet the following criteria: Significant leadership experience within the utilities sector or a regulated industry; Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills; Strong strategic thinking, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities; Experience managing risk, compliance and operational performance; Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
