Are you an experienced Senior Leader with experience of leadership within a Specialist School environment?
An independent, caring specialist school, part of a well-established team education group in Dudley, are seeking a locum Assistant Headteacher to join them on a long-term contractual basis from now for the foreseeable future.
The opportunity:
* Provision catering to 50 pupils aged 11-19 years with complex SEMH and mixed SEND needs.
* Tailored learning pathways and personalised education curriculums to meet individual needs.
* They’re seeking a dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join their SLT; potential for a permanent position if all goes well.
* Report to other members of the SLT, supporting day-to-day decision-making and ensuring the smooth running of the school.
* Located in central Dudley, with on-site parking and excellent transport links.
* Daily rate: £220-£280
Character specification:
* Previous experience in a school leadership position (Headship etc.) within a SEND/SEMH environment.
* Confident to make decisions in a fast-changing, varied environment.
* Passion for SEND and working closely with students with a range of complex learning needs.
* Calm, assertive, with the ability to effectively initiate school strategy under the influence of the other Senior Leaders
* Hit the ground running from day one, within existing school systems and processes.
This is a rare opportunity to join a friendly, well-managed specialist school on a long-term locum basis, with start date as soon as possible, and generous daily rate (paid weekly).
As Assistant Headteacher, you will integrate effectively into a supportive team of experienced SEND/SEMH professionals, hitting the ground running straight away within existing school systems.
