Overview

In this role you will be responsible for the resourcing needs of the Consulting department, including but not limited to the following areas:

* Staff planning and resource management for the Consulting team, including being a solution provider when it comes to job bookings.
* Reporting into the Resource Lead, Managers and wider stakeholders with a real-time overview of departmental staffing.
* Undertaking Exam Training Manager tasks for Consulting teams.


Responsibilities

* Provide first-line coordination support while working closely with Resource Administrators. This may involve quick decision-making and difficult conversations with managers. Thinking outside the box is essential.
* Liaise with key people responsible for staffing to discuss resourcing issues, suggest solutions, and execute agreed actions.
* Proactively identify solutions when team members depart and update department heads on critical staffing developments.
* Take overall responsibility for roll-forward exercises across departments, ensuring completion by the national deadline.
* Monitor staff bookings against budget and allocations.
* Collaborate with departments to ensure annual leave/TOIL bookings align with the planner and policy.
* Maintain consistent engagement with trainees throughout their training contract, providing support leading up to exams.
* Collaborate with the National Training Team to carry out Exam Training Manager responsibilities, including pastoral support and managing study-related requests (e.g., deferrals or illness).
* Provide training and guidance to new Administrators to ensure they are equipped to support the role effectively.


What we are looking for

* Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage complex internal staffing needs across multiple teams.
* Experience working with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, including managing challenging conversations and offering creative solutions.
* High initiative and problem-solving skills, especially when addressing urgent resourcing issues or changes.
* Keen attention to detail in staff bookings, budget alignment and policy compliance.
* Empathetic and supportive approach, particularly in exam training, ensuring trainees feel guided and cared for.
* Comfortable working with data and reporting, maintaining real-time oversight of departmental staffing and resource allocations.
* Willingness to travel to offices as needed and provide training to new team members to ensure consistency and excellence in support.
* A background in consulting within professional services would be advantageous.
