Finance AssistantNigel Wright are currently supporting a Newton Aycliffe based business with their Finance Assistant requirement. This role is initially 3 months, with a likelihood of extension/permanent contract. The RoleAs Finance Assistant, your main duties will consist of:
* Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies
* Assisting with sales ledger tasks and allocating payments
* Supporting month-end routines as required
* Helping to clear existing backlog across transactional finance
* General finance admin and supporting the wider team where needed
The CandidateTo be successful in this role, you'll have:
* Experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar transactional role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident using finance systems and Excel
* Someone who can pick things up quickly and work well under time pressures
* A proactive, positive approach to supporting a busy team
