Students will collaborate with teams across various parts of the business, gaining meaningful industry experience.Summer students will get the opportunity to undertake various tasks whilst collaborating with our colleagues across our departments. The students will be able to learn on the job, developing practical skills and personal competencies, building relationships with colleagues across our business.Your Role:Your core role focuses on leading the implementation of 6S LEAN tools to optimize workflows and lab spaces within Molecular Biology laboratories, aiming to enhance safety, housekeeping, and standardized processes for improved efficiency. This project supports the Molecular Biology team by promoting higher efficiencies, reduced stress, fewer accidents, and enhanced quality. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the molecular biology team and 6S representatives to drive operational excellence, conducting 6S laboratory walk rounds to identify areas for workflow improvement, proactively implementing enhancements to lab processes, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to health and safety policies while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Who You Are:Degree\/MSc Student, or recent graduate in relevant subject looking for work experienceKnowledge of 6S Lean method is preferred but not essentialProactive, organised and able to work independentlyCollaborative and able to consult and interact with colleaguesWritten and verbal communication capabilityGMP knowledge would be beneficialComputer literacyWhat we offer: We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
