Health & Safety and Security Advisor Job type: Permanent Salary: £33,600 - £44,000 (dependant on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Working style: Site-based Location: Based in Bardon, Leicestershire VF Corporation has a brilliant new job opportunity as our Health & Safety and Security Advisor, based at our "state of the art" UK Distribution Centre in North-West Leicestershire! Let's Talk about the Role As the Health & Safety, and Security Advisor, you'll play a key role in protecting our people and our operations. You'll keep both local leadership and the wider EMEA Asset Protection team informed on emerging risks and regulatory changes, while driving high-impact safety and security initiatives. Your attention to detail, strong influencing skills, and ability to lead cross-functional teams will help maintain exceptional standards across the site. You'll collaborate closely with managers and departments across multiple locations to nurture a proactive, positive risk culture that keeps our VF teams safe, supported, and empowered. How You Will Make a Difference Lead all health, safety, and security programs across the Distribution Centre, ensuring robust risk assessments and full regulatory compliance. Champion a strong asset protection culture while respecting and enhancing each site's unique environment. Act as the key safety representative, collaborating closely with EMEA H&S, DC Operations, HR, Maintenance, and external partners. Develop and deliver clear safety tools, training, and reporting to reduce risk, prevent loss, and support a safe working environment. Oversee incident and accident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions to minimise risk and employee injuries. Manage physical security standards, including guidelines, audits, and oversight of third-party security teams. Drive loss prevention strategies, partnering with EMEA Asset Protection and law enforcement to address critical issues and protect VF's reputation. Support DC leadership in emergency procedures, while ensuring best practice sharing and alignment with global and regional standards. Skills for Success The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position. Experienced in Health & Safety regulations, preferably with professional qualifications to support your strategy and decisions. Previous knowledge in Security operations, as well as related industry experience e.g. Distribution Centre or manufacturing environments could be beneficial, but we are open to applications from all industries and backgrounds A confident and engaging communicator in English, with clear verbal, written, and presentation skills. A confident leader who can train, influence, and collaborate across departments to deliver results with projects and change management Professional, reliable, and highly organised, with a consistent ability to follow through on tasks. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. It's important to mention that in this role, there will be some physical activities when inspecting, training, demonstrating and working within the DC Operation.
