Role: Head of Product
Reports to: Head of Technology
Location: Remote working (UK based) – remote‑first organisation, hybrid possible in future
Salary: Circa £100k p.a., plus equity and benefits
Hours: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
* Product Vision & Strategy
o Define and lead Vestd’s product vision, strategy, and long‑term roadmap aligned to company goals and growth priorities.
o Translate business objectives, customer needs and market opportunities into a clear and actionable product strategy.
o Identify new product opportunities across equity management, share schemes, valuations, compliance and investor reporting.
o Embed AI thinking into product strategy and identify meaningful opportunities to improve customer experience, internal efficiency and product capability.
o Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity to inform strategic decision‑making.
* Roadmap Ownership & Delivery
o Own and prioritise the product roadmap, balancing customer value, commercial impact and technical feasibility.
o Ensure roadmap priorities are clearly communicated and aligned across Product, Engineering and commercial teams.
o Drive product delivery with clear ownership, realistic planning and strong delivery discipline.
o Balance short‑term improvements with long‑term strategic product development.
o Support integration strategy across key connected platforms including payroll, HRIS, legal and finance systems.
* Execution & Leadership
o Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle from discovery through launch, iteration and optimisation.
o Lead, coach and develop Product Managers and support growth of the wider product function.
o Improve product operating frameworks, processes and decision‑making practices.
o Build a high‑performing product culture centred around accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
o Bring structure and challenge to product decision‑making as the business scales.
* Customer Insight & Research
o Deeply understand user needs across founders, CFOs, legal teams, HR, employees, investors and advisors.
o Run discovery interviews, usability sessions and validation workshops regularly.
o Translate insights into actionable product opportunities.
o Use experimentation and testing to validate product ideas and reduce delivery risk.
* Cross‑Functional Enablement
o Partner closely with Engineering and Design to ensure effective product development and delivery.
o Work collaboratively with Revenue, Partnerships, Marketing and Customer Success to support product launches and adoption.
o Align product priorities with commercial goals and customer retention strategies.
o Support internal product training and enablement to improve product knowledge across the business.
o Act as a strong product voice across the wider leadership team.
* Operational Excellence
o Use product analytics and data to measure product performance, adoption and customer engagement.
o Track and improve key product metrics including usage, retention and feature success.
o Establish strong product processes, documentation and governance frameworks.
o Improve delivery efficiency, product quality and decision‑making consistency.
o Use AI and automation where appropriate to improve internal product operations and workflows.
* Equity Domain Expertise (Can Learn in Role)
o Build strong knowledge of equity management, cap table structures and share schemes including EMI and CSOP.
o Develop understanding of valuations, tax implications and investor reporting requirements.
o Translate complex equity concepts into intuitive product experiences.
o Stay informed on relevant regulatory and compliance developments affecting the product.
o Use domain knowledge to strengthen Vestd’s market position and customer value proposition.
Qualifications & Requirements
* 7+ years in Product Management, including at least 3 years in a senior product leadership role.
* Strong experience in B2B SaaS product leadership.
* Experience building and scaling complex multi‑stakeholder software products.
* Demonstrable practical application of AI in product development, operational efficiency or customer experience.
* Strong strategic product thinking with hands‑on execution capability.
* Experience improving product operating models, product processes and delivery frameworks.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes.
* Excellent product discovery, research and experimentation capability.
* Strong data‑led decision‑making and analytical capability.
* Experience leading, coaching and developing product professionals.
* Excellent cross‑functional stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working with APIs, integrations and connected product ecosystems.
Nice to Have
* Experience in equity management, share schemes or cap table software.
* Experience in FinTech, HRTech, payroll, legal tech or compliance‑focused SaaS.
* Experience in regulated or compliance‑heavy product environments.
* Experience in product‑led growth or onboarding optimisation.
* Experience using product analytics platforms such as Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar.
* Experience working in startup or scale‑up environments.
