Overview
Join Capital City College (CCC) in London as a Curriculum Manager for English. You will lead the development and delivery of outstanding, industry-relevant programmes to shape learners’ futures and support the college’s strategic objectives for teaching, learning, and learner experience across the English curriculum and services.
Responsibilities
* Lead on the development and delivery of outstanding educational provision.
* Collaborate with staff across departments to implement innovative and inclusive practices that support learners and colleagues to thrive.
* Line manage teaching and support staff, driving performance and accountability.
* Design, plan, and deliver high-quality, learner-focused curriculum programmes.
* Understand compliance, funding regulations, and quality assurance processes.
* Use data effectively to improve learner attendance, retention, and progression.
* Manage budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective and high-impact delivery.
* Prepare for and contribute to internal and external audits, inspections (e.g., Ofsted), and quality reviews.
* Deliver teaching, learning, and assessment in line with requirements of relevant awarding bodies (e.g., AQA, Edexcel).
* Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction as part of CCC’s senior leadership structure.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proven success in leading teams or departments within an educational or comparable setting.
* Deep understanding of curriculum design, quality assurance, and student achievement.
* Strong strategic thinking, communication, and people management skills.
* A collaborative mindset with ability to build partnerships internally and externally.
* A commitment to inclusive and empowering learning environments.
* A proactive, strategic mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learner success.
* A relevant teaching qualification and leadership training (or willingness to obtain these) with experience in English.
