We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our prestigious London hotel. In this leadership role, you will support the Food & Beverage Operations Manager in overseeing all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences across fine dining, breakfast, afternoon tea, bar service, room service, private dining, and events.

Location: Victoria, London

Working
pattern: full
time / 5 days on 2 days off

Base Salary: £35,000 per year + service charge

The Rubens at the Palace Hotel part of the Red Carnation Hotels, is a stunning five-star property located in the heart of London’s Victoria and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. This wonderful hotel has been fully refurbished and features 161 individually designed bedrooms and suites, as well as a range of Food and Beverage outlets including The English Grill Restaurant, The Curry Room Restaurant, The New York Bar, The Palace Lounge and Champagne Bar, as well as 9 well equipped function rooms.

Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager:

* Support the daily management of
the front-of-house Food & Beverage team, collaborating with the Bar
Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Events Manager.
* Assist with departmental payroll,
scheduling, and management of holidays and sickness in accordance with hotel
budgets.
* Contribute to the training,
development, and motivation of all team members, conducting regular one-to-one
reviews and ensuring continuous improvement.
* Support the commercial success of
the department monitoring performance, implementing promotions, and assisting
with pricing and marketing strategies alongside the Central Marketing team.
* Help to achieve targeted beverage
GP% and support the culinary team in maintaining food cost standards.
* Ensure consistent delivery of
Forbes 5-star service standards are
followed.
* Work closely with the Events
Manager to deliver exceptional experiences across weddings, private dining,
meetings, and VIP occasions.
* Maintain operational standards
across all areas, including minibars, in-room amenities, and beverage service.

We

* Previous experience in a supervisory
or assistant management role within a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment.
* A hands-on leader with excellent
operational awareness and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
* Strong understanding of food and
beverage financials, cost control, and budget management.
* Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
* A genuine enthusiasm for food,
beverage, and hospitality excellence.
* The ability to work effectively
under pressure while maintaining poise, professionalism, and attention to
detail.
