About the Role
The Stations team within WSP’s Rail division are actively seeking a BIM Leader to lead MEP delivery of our diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary Stations projects.
We are looking for proactive individuals with excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and demonstrable experience in engineering management within Rail.
As a BIM Lead, your responsibilities will include:
* Modeling 3D MEP services using Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings, including Cable Management Systems, Pipework, Ductwork, etc.
* Producing 2D sections from 3D models for drawings and schematic layouts.
* Carrying out CAD modeling throughout all project stages to industry standards.
* Design coordination to ensure clash-free designs with proper access and maintenance considerations.
* Maximizing data exchange across platforms via a Common Data Environment (CDE).
* Supporting and mentoring the engineering team in design data review and technical development.
Team Environment
You will join a diverse team working on projects from concept to detailed design for clients like Network Rail, HS2, and others. The role may be based in London, with a modern, collaborative workspace.
Candidate Profile
We seek experienced MEP BIM leaders with multidisciplinary delivery experience, preferably qualified with HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or with equivalent practical experience in rail and civil projects. Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation, OpenBuildings, ProjectWise, and BIM processes is essential. Experience working with offshore resources and VBA scripting is advantageous.
