Location: Remote with travel to client site monthly (Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle)
Day Rate: £405p / d - Inside IR35
Duration: 2 year contract (6 month work packages)
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance
About the Role
We're looking for a user-focused Interaction Designer to help shape intuitive, accessible, and inclusive digital services that meet the needs of citizens. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you\'ll design end-to-end user journeys that align with Government Digital Service (GDS) principles, ensuring services are simple to use and deliver real public value.
Responsibilities
* Design user-centred interfaces and interactions across web and mobile platforms
* Collaborate with researchers, developers, and service designers to iterate based on user feedback
* Apply GDS design patterns and accessibility standards to ensure consistency and usability
* Create prototypes and wireframes to test and communicate design ideas
* Champion design thinking and contribute to design critiques and community practices
* Support service assessments and ensure designs meet GDS service standards
