Overview
Beaumont Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, offers a part‑time role in the Theatre department, covering flexible shift patterns.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
* Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
* Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
* Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels after appropriate training.
* Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.
* Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and equipment in readiness for patient use.
* Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
* Ability to follow instructions and escalated concerns appropriately.
* Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
* Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures.
