We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our Food Truck Sales team
Predominantly based in Appleby Magna, but assisting with our Bingham, Nottingham hub, this role will focus on driving sales forward, managing staff development, and assisting in staff training.
Our Food Truck Sales Drivers travel to numerous workplaces within approximately 40 mile radius of Swadlincote/Bingham. Each van has a specific number of stops that they visit once / twice daily (Mon-Fri).
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, personable and keen to grow the businesses - they will become the driving force for increasing sales and staff training.
Monday to Friday am to 4.00 pm - with the occasional weekend event to cover.
Role/Responsibilities
* Food Truck Operations:
Fully train on our food trucks, gaining in-depth knowledge of daily operations. Consider how this experience can support and drive future business growth.
* Sales & Customer Service:
Deliver a friendly, welcoming service to all customers.
* Actively promote and upsell products to ensure a positive customer experience and increased sales.
* Maintain a keen focus on driving sales performance and maximising the potential of every customer interaction.
* Cover Driver Duties:
Provide driving cover when required, including covering staff absences due to sickness or annual leave.
* Training
* Create and deliver effective training procedures for new starters.
* Manage ongoing training requirements for existing team members.
* Conduct staff appraisals and monitor performance to support development.
* Product Innovation:
Research, propose, and implement new product lines across both hubs to keep the offering fresh and aligned with customer demand.
* Business Growth:
Identify and develop new routes and opportunities. Proactively source clients and establish connections that lead to sustainable business expansion.
* Use customer feedback and purchasing trends to adapt sales strategies and maximise revenue opportunities.
* Seek out untapped areas of the business to maximise growth potential and expand market reach.
* Customer Engagement:
Build strong relationships with regular customers. Introduce new clients to the product range and foster brand loyalty through excellent service.

Our vehicles are manual, so you must be confident in driving a company van, have a current and clean driving licence and be over the age of 25 for our fleet insurance purposes.
