We are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting supporting learners with additional needs. This is a permanent opportunity, with candidates initially completing a short 12-week interim period before moving into a permanent role.
You will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping them develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support
* Assist with tailored learning activities
* Support development of independence and communication skills
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement
* Support learners during lessons and break/unstructured times
* Work closely with teachers and support staff
* Monitor and record student progress
* Provide support with personal care where required (including assisting with daily routines and wellbeing)

* Experience in SEN, education, care, or support work
* A patient, reliable, and proactive attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting young people
* Ability to build positive relationships with learners
