Contract Type: Permanent Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time, Shift working We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Application Operations Engineer who will be comfortable working on a range of services at DVLA Swansea, across multiple products and technologies, covering both legacy and brand new cloud-based applications. This role will provide you with the excellent opportunity to progress in your career, if you are looking to move from 2nd to 3rd line support. Training is readily available in this role and you will be given access to a wide range of courses to suit development. Your role will primarily involve supporting the DVLAs internal and customer facing applications and additionally participating in the programme to migrate legacy technology onto new, cloud-based platforms, ensuring that the solutions are supportable and fit for purpose. You will be empowered to enhance the systems, with continuous improvement at the forefront of the work that you do. This role will see you providing support rather than develop applications. Top Responsibilities Undertake system support, including monitoring of applications, incident investigation and resolution under the guidance of a more senior Applications Operations Engineer. Working with a more senior Operations Engineer, assists on the implementation, configuration and the support of Applications as required. Working collaboratively with the wider teams. Feeds into the team documentation library and the known fixes library or knowledge base.
