We're working with a 4:star countryside hotel looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join a small, close:knit kitchen team.
This is a hands:on role in a supportive environment where consistency, teamwork, and pride in food really matter - not a high:pressure, ego:driven brigade.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and cooking fresh dishes to order across service
- Supporting day:to:day kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef
- Maintaining consistent food quality and presentation standards
- Stepping into quieter shifts with autonomy when needed
- Working collaboratively as part of a small, reliable team
- Keeping standards high across food safety, cleanliness and organisation
What we're looking for
- Experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up
- Background in a fresh food / hotel / restaurant kitchen
- Comfortable working independently during quieter shifts
- Reliable, consistent and a strong team player
- Calm under pressure with a practical, hands:on approach
