Job summary North East Essex Community Therapy Team has an exciting opportunity to work as a Band 5 Physiotherapist in the community. This position will be working alongside our established team of therapists based in Colchester and being offered on a fixed term basis until March 2026 at 37.5 hours a week.Community experience would be an advantage, but full training and support will be provided.Due to this post being a community position it is essential for the successful candidate to be able to drive from day one of employment.We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is motivated to achieve their full potential. Clear clinical reasoning and good assessment skills are essential. It is expected that you will have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with a variety of service users of different age groups, have good self-management skills and an ability to prioritise your caseload. You will be encouraged and supported to develop your clinical skills and be actively involved in service development.The team is busy, dynamic and proud of their holistic care approach. It consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Associate Practitioners, Assistant Practitioners and we work alongside Nurses, Community Matrons and other specialist services. The successful candidate will be actively supported by regular supervision and individual annual appraisal. Main duties of the job This role will include a comprehensive induction into the community service followed by a local induction to introduce you to the role. Your duties will be to provide holistic therapeutic assessments of patient's goals to implement management plans and strategies. This role support patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes.You will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with a range of conditions including neurological, orthopedic (trauma and elective), respiratory and elderly rehabilitation.Although we are expecting our staff to work autonomously, we are a very supportive team and work closely together to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
