Location: Field-based role with regular office attendance
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Salary: £30,000 - £50,000

Our client is an established and highly respected packaging manufacturer supplying bespoke, high-quality packaging solutions to customers across the UK and Ireland. Operating within regulated and quality-driven markets, the business services a diverse customer base including consumer foods, life sciences (pharmaceuticals), health & beauty, and FMCG.

The Field Sales Executive will play a key role in driving continued growth by managing existing customer relationships while proactively identifying and converting new business opportunities. This is a true field sales position, requiring regular face-to-face meetings, site visits and office attendance.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating autonomously, managing their own territory and sales pipeline, and engaging confidently with decision-makers across procurement, operations, quality and senior management teams.
This is not a remote or home-based role.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline across assigned territories
* Service and grow existing customer accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
* Proactively target and win new business across key market sectors
* Arrange and conduct face-to-face sales meetings, presentations and site visits
* Position sustainability credentials and compliance standards as a commercial differentiator
* Understand customer packaging requirements and propose tailored solutions
* Negotiate pricing and commercial terms in line with company guidelines
* Achieve and exceed agreed revenue, margin and activity targets
* Maintain accurate records of sales activity, forecasts and opportunities
* Provide regular feedback on market trends, competitor activity and customer insight
* Work closely with internal production, design and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
* Proven track record of success in a field sales role
* Demonstrable ability to generate leads, secure meetings and close business
* Experience managing a full sales cycle from initial contact to order placement
* Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
* Self-motivated, resilient and commercially astute
* Ability to plan and prioritise workload in a target-driven environment
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience selling packaging, printed materials, or value-added manufacturing solutions
* Exposure to consumer food, FMCG or life sciences/pharmaceutical markets
* Experience selling sustainability-led or compliance-driven products
* Understanding of long-term account management and solution-based selling
