On behalf of our client school, we are recruiting a KS1 teacher to take on a Year 1 class commencing May on a long-term, full-time basis. The exciting Year 1 role will last until May 2027 or until the post-holder returns and offers a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an ECT hoping to start their induction. The successful Year 1 teacher will: Be a committed professional with a strong knowledge and understanding of KS1 teaching and learning Have a strong grasp of phonics and promote a love of reading Adopt a nurturing approach with the children based on positive relationships where children feel safe, included and happy at school Be able to use adaptive teaching methods to scaffold and stretch learners to achieve their potential Use formative assessment strategies such as effective questioning to determine who has achieved the lesson objectives and plan for intervention where appropriate Uphold the Catholic ethos of the school In return for your hard work, you will be surrounded by supportive, friendly staff and have access to excellent facilities to support high level learning.
