The successful candidate will be required to speak English to an appropriate standard and to be available outside normal working hours on a standby rota to respond to out of hours service needs. A standardised standby payment will be made in respect of these duties.

This role is a safety critical role within the Drug & Alcohol Testing Procedure and must comply with this procedure.

About The Post
We are delighted to advertise the position of a Heating Engineer within Property Services. The successful candidate will carry out all aspects of repairs and installations to the current British Standards, testing and inspection of commercial installations and take appropriate remedial action where required, ensure that all test/service certificates and reports are completed to specification and signed by the appropriate person ready for submission to Client/Client Agent within specified time frames, carry out diagnostic fault finding on a wide range of installations, equipment and apparatus, including commercial installations. Work at heights either by ladder, scaffold, MEWPS and recognise and use any necessary safety equipment.
To ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided is maintained at an adequate level in serviceable condition and always used when and where appropriate, and order materials as and when the job requires.
To work to current Health and Safety legislation, identify any areas for improvement and communicate these to your Line Manager for inclusion into the Management process. Responsibility to take responsible care for The Health, Safety and Welfare of themselves and others in accordance with HSWA 1974.
