AI Engineer | Contract | Initial 3 Months | Newcastle (Hybrid) | £585-600/day Inside IR35
We have a new contract role for an AI Engineer to work on cutting-edge generative AI solutions leveraging Google Gemini and Google Cloud Platform.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week required on site in Newcastle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement AI-driven solutions using Google Gemini and Vertex AI
2. Build and integrate generative AI models via APIs
3. Develop scalable backend systems in Python for data processing and model orchestration.
4. Implement RAG workflows and vector search for knowledge integration
5. Deploy solutions on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring security and compliance
6. Apply ML Ops best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring
Tech Stack:
7. Python
8. ML libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain
9. Cloud: Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, Gemini API
10. CI/CD with Docker/Kubernetes
Ideal Candidate
11. Strong background in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Software Engineering
12. Hands-on experience with Google Gemini, Vertex AI, GCP services or AWS/Azure
13. Proven ability to integrate foundation models and build scalable AI systems
14. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
15. Bonus: Experience with prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and taking POCs to production
