In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and setting up equipment and resources across woods, metals, plastics, and new technologies. You will ensure machinery is safe, support staff and students in practical sessions, and play a key role in maintaining and developing the department's technical provision. This position offers the chance to combine your workshop knowledge with creativity and problem-solving, in a rewarding environment where no two days are the same.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a technical, workshop, or educational support role. Knowledge of basic engineering, mechanics, and modern technologies such as CAD/CAM, laser cutting, or 3D printing would be advantageous, though full training will be provided. Above all, you'll be safety-conscious, proactive, and motivated to help students thrive in Design & Technology.

The Role:
* Preparing, setting up, and maintaining workshop equipment and materials
* Supporting staff and students during practical activities

The Person:
* Practical experience in a workshop, engineering, or technical support role
* Knowledge of materials and machinery (woods, metals, plastics) - training provided where required
* Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures
* Organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting learning
