SEND Teacher & Subject Lead
Location: Peak Academy, Drake Lane, Dursley, Gloucestershire (GL11 5HD)
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time, All Year Round; 32.5 hours per week.
Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 + £2,787 + £3,527 (subject to terms).
About the Role
Peak Academy is looking to recruit an exceptional SEND teacher & Subject Lead to join our dedicated team of SEND professionals. You will be passionate about transforming the lives of children with SEND and empowering every young person to become a safe, confident and independent member of society.
Responsibilities
* Lead and provide oversight of the curriculum (11‑16), monitoring and evaluating its overall effectiveness, especially relating to pupil progress.
* Provide subject leadership and support the development of students’ knowledge (excluding technology subjects). Facilitate and encourage a learning experience that allows students to achieve their individual potential.
* Collaborate with colleagues, share ideas and strategies, reflect on practice and seek improvement through solution‑focused methods.
* Commit to working in a rapidly improving SEMH school within an ambitious trust, with a focus on the individual needs of pupils.
