Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
* Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
* Help with mobility and transportation of clients as needed, including accompanying them to appointments or social activities.
* Ensure that the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to the well-being of clients.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
Experience
* At least 1 year of previous experience in a care home or home care setting is required.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is highly valued.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and communication is beneficial.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
