Job Specification
The Role
1. Setting up and running jobs using information from engineering drawings.
2. Operating and program CNC machines.
3. Ensuring machine safety guidelines are being followed.
4. Ensuring correct PPE is always worn.
5. Being responsible for the production and scheduling of work.
6. Monitoring product standards and supporting quality-control procedures.
7. Maximising productivity, minimising downtime of machines.
8. Ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained throughout the machine shop.
9. Will be working a 2 shifts system earlies and lates (shift premium included in the salary as above).
10. Role is working 4-day weeks only Mon-Thurs.
The Person
11. Must be a time served Turner.
12. Experience using Fanuc controls.
13. Able to set, operate and programme machines.
14. Machining background and general all-round knowledge/experience.
15. Self-disciplined and reliable.
16. Excellent inter-personnel communication skills.
17. Enthusiastic, determined, self-disciplined and reliable.
18. Apprentice trained.
19. Manufacture of development components in a tool room environment.
