About the Role
Delivering excellent patient care every time drives quality care within our teams in the division of Medicine. We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Registered Nurses, either experienced or newly qualified, to join our division of Medicine teams at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. Vacancies are available across the Divisions of Medicine, predominantly within our Dewsbury site, with some opportunities at our Pinderfields site. If you would like to discuss these further, please contact Kelly Jackson, Matron for Professional Development and Education, at midyorks.nursestaffingsupport@nhs.net.
Upon joining the MYTT we will support you with a comprehensive orientation programme and skills development appropriate to your level of experience to ensure you have the right support to develop and thrive in your career with us.
In order to be considered for this post, you must hold the relevant UK NMC registration or be in a position to successfully apply for this at the point of your application.
Main duties
Working at either Dewsbury & District Hospital or Pinderfields Hospital you will be supported by Ward Managers, charge nurses, sisters and Clinical Matrons who promote and display compassionate leadership with a passion for high standards.
The primary aim of the role is to provide effective patient-centred care by performing individual assessment of care needs, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care that meet the needs of the patient and their families/carers. The role is multidimensional and requires the post holder to integrate and fulfil all the dimensions of patient care. As a registered nurse, all activities provide opportunities for acting as a role model for staff. Following preceptorship or an induction period depending on experience, you will then be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision.
Development of our staff is key to running our service effectively, and we will invest our time in your continuing professional development. If you are currently working outside of the NHS or in secondary care or transferring from another NHS organisation you will receive training and comprehensive support to get you off to a flying start.
