Quantity Surveyor. Scotland £45,000 - £55,000 Plus Car Allowance
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, strategic, and charismatic person to join a leading civil engineering contractor as a Quantity Surveyor working on major projects in the energy sector.

The Role:
With strong analytical skills, you should have a history of making well-informed decisions grounded in experience and data intelligence. Success relies on meticulous attention to detail and adept prioritisation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising subcontractors and managing accounts
* Supporting the Commercial Manager and overseeing the commercial team
* Addressing client disputes and conducting internal audits
* Maintaining the commercial risk register
* Verifying the accuracy of measurements during weekly valuations
* Conducting cost analysis and implementing cost reduction initiatives
* Reviewing contracts and analysing rates
* Generating comprehensive Cost Value Reports (CVRs) for all projects
About You:
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, demonstrating commercial awareness and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in managing complex subcontract orders, including risk allocation and operational support
* Excellent commercial and communication skills, capable of leading internal stakeholders and cultivating client relationships, with an interest in developing direct reports
* Charismatic communication skills, effective at delivering key messages, with exceptional Excel skills
* Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or significant relevant experience
* Flexible/hybrid working arrangements available, with a company car scheme or car allowance
