Job Description : Senior Operator - Weekend Shifts Location: Shieldhall, Glasgow Role Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift Pattern: Friday 11:30-18:00 | Saturday-Sunday 07:00-19:00 (30.5 hours per week) Salary & Benefits: £33,601.15 per year plus pension, share scheme, bonus, and other benefits End date to Apply: 02nd March'26 Are you a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, takes ownership of your work, and drives operational excellence with confidence? As a Senior Operator on weekend shifts, you'll enjoy having weekdays free for personal commitments, hobbies, or family time-perfect for those who value flexibility or have weekday responsibilities such as school runs or appointments. About the Role We are looking for a motivated Senior Operator to join our Spirit Supply team at Shieldhall. In this role, you'll ensure the smooth and efficient movement of spirit from tanker receipt through filtration to the production lines, maintaining zero downtime and supporting on-time, in-full (OTIF) supply. You'll use systems such as CE2, SAP, and Siemens PCS7 to monitor and manage spirit movements, track quality parameters, and maintain equipment and consumables. You'll work closely with internal teams, production planners, and engineers to maximize efficiency and implement proactive solutions. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the continuous movement of spirit from tanker receipt to the production line. Use CE2 and Siemens PCS7 to monitor spirit offloading, filtration, and bottling parameters. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of filtration equipment, including bag filters and strip rebuilds. Manage consumables to maintain uninterrupted production. Follow the weekly tanker schedule and flag potential issues. Support the Spirit Supply Team and Site Engineering Team in achieving departmental goals. Participate in root cause problem-solving (RCPS) and implement long-term solutions. We're looking for someone who: Thrives in a fast-paced production environment. Is reliable, self-motivated, and consistently delivers high standards. Has experience with CE2, SAP, or Siemens PCS7 systems. Understands compliance procedures and quality/metrology equipment. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills. Can organise tasks, prioritise effectively, and work independently as well as in a team. Pays meticulous attention to detail and takes pride in operational excellence. Is proficient in IT Skills (Excel, power point) Health and safety compliance is key, and you'll be at the forefront of making sure this is supervised alongside other key performance indicators and targets including production quality, production efficiency, energy management, production planning and cost efficiency.??
