We are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a high-performing team working on complex marine systems, shipboard plant equipment, and heavy mechanical installations. Key Responsibilities Fit, assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical systems onboard vessels and associated infrastructure Overhaul and maintain engines, generators, compressors, pumps, and other plant systems Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works on mechanical and structural issues Interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance Work safely and efficiently within a team, upholding high standards of quality and compliance What Were Looking For Experience as a mechanical fitter, ideally in marine, shipbuilding, industrial, offshore or heavy engineering environments Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation Hands-on fault-finding and problem-solving ability Methodical, safety-conscious approach to mechanical systems work Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team Whats on Offer £37,500 base salary Overtime and shift premiums available Long-term projects and permanent employment with career progression 25 days holiday plus bank holidays 7x salary life assurance cover 4% employer pension contribution Cycle to Work Scheme and Employee Assistance Programme Security Clearance What You Need to Know This role requires BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) and SC (Security Check) Clearance due to the nature of the work and location.
