We are looking for a Registered Nurse to lead and deliver high standards of care in a care home setting, supervising a team and ensuring continuity of care in the Home Manager’s absence. The role focuses on resident wellbeing, mentorship, and delivering person-centred care.
Responsibilities
* Assess nursing needs and identify appropriate interventions for residents.
* Supervise colleagues, manage shifts, and ensure flawless handover summaries for continuity of care.
* Lead the care team in the Home Manager’s absence and oversee the delivery of outstanding care.
* Assist with performance development of colleagues and provide support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students.
* Administer prescribed medicines and prepare incident reports as required, maintaining a resident-centred focus at all times.
* Promote independence, dignity, and respect for residents, and strive for continuous improvement in care standards.
* Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns as appropriate.
About You
* You will be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and understand professional standards of practice.
* You have a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge with colleagues while providing support as a practice supervisor and assessor to students.
* You communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and model professional behaviours.
* You advocate a person-centred approach to care for residents and their families.
* You recognise safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and are able to identify and escalate signs of abuse, harm, or neglect.
