Locum Social Worker - Family Safeguarding Pay Rate: £42 per hour Location: North East Locality - Weybridge Office: Dakota House, 11 De Havilland Drive, Weybridge, KT13 0YP Hours: 36 per week Contract: Locum, 3 Months Initial but on-going We're working in partnership with Surrey County Council to recruit experienced Locum Social Workers into the Family Safeguarding service in the North East locality, based at Dakota House in Weybridge. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, supportive team using the innovative Family Safeguarding model - a multi-disciplinary, strengths-based approach that enables you to make a real difference in families' lives. What you'll be doing: Managing a caseload of children in need and child protection cases Carrying out high-quality assessments, visits, direct work and safety planning Working closely with specialist adult workers (mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse) Attending strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and core groups Preparing evidence-based reports for court proceedings when required Using motivational interviewing techniques to support change To be considered, you must: Have at least three years' post-qualified experience in a permanent role within an English Local Authority Be Social Work England registered with a recognised Social Work qualification Not be permanently employed by another South East Local Authority (due to MOU restrictions) Why locum with Surrey through Connect2Surrey?
