Job Title: Housing Manager
Location: West London
Rate: £250 – £300 per day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3–6 months initially, with potential to extend
Working Pattern: Office-based, 5 days per week
Start: ASAP
Overview We are seeking an experienced Housing Manager to lead a busy housing management service in West London. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing tenancy management, estate services, resident engagement and income performance across a defined patch. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving service improvements, ensuring compliance, and delivering a high-quality experience for residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of Housing Officers and support staff.
* Oversee full tenancy management including sign-ups, audits, enforcement and sustainment.
* Monitor and improve rent collection, arrears recovery and income performance.
* Lead on complex ASB cases and tenancy breach investigations.
* Ensure estates are maintained to a high standard through regular inspections and contractor coordination.
* Manage voids, allocations and associated performance indicators.
* Deliver excellent customer service and respond to Member enquiries and escalated complaints.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, stakeholders and partner agencies.
* Ensure compliance with all housing legislation, policies and safeguarding requirements.
* Prepare reports, performance updates and contribute to service development projects.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Housing Manager or Senior Housing Professional.
* Strong knowledge of tenancy management, income collection, ASB and estate services.
* Experience leading teams and driving performance improvements.
* Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
* Ability to manage complex casework and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong understanding of housing legislation and local authority processes.
