Responsibilities
* Responsible for the role of the UK CAA/EASA Part‑147 (form 4) nominated person at Gama Aviation Technical Training.
* Manage the day‑to‑day running of the Training Department Staff, Programmes and Resources.
* Carry out the duties of an aircraft technical training instructor and be qualified on type and within the companies EASA Part‑147 approval.
* Produce and update all student training notes and presentations for the Aircraft types.
* Evaluate technical training programmes to ensure they achieve organisational objectives and remain cost effective to deliver.
* Carry out the annual training planning meeting and produce a training programme for the forthcoming year.
* Carry out the duties and responsibilities of a Part 147 Approved Examiner.
* Produce monthly KPI and progress reports as required by the business.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation relevant to technical training and disseminate any new requirements appropriately to colleagues.
* Continuously improve and develop training material, through awareness of new training advancements, technologies, best practice and changes within training and learning environments that could be applied within Gama Aviation.
* Seek and engage with potential customers to generate revenue through the delivery of training courses.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* 2 years of experience in a similar position and previous employment in a Part‑147 environment.
* Knowledge of Learning and Development.
* Knowledge of CAA/EASA Part 147 / Part 66 regulations.
* Ability to deliver training courses on Human Factors, EWIS, FTS and Recurrent Training.
* Excellent communication; verbal and written communication skills.
* Adaptable with excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Ability to cope with pressure and change.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Prepared to work away from base when required.
