Job Description:
A groundbreaking organisation is seeking a senior professional with deep experience working within, advising, or investing in major (£500m+ turnover) food companies in the UK. We need someone ready for a bold challenge to harness the insights and energy of senior professionals who are committed to their employers and industries and recognize the need for drastic change.
This role involves building something entirely new and driving real change in a critical sector.
You will collaborate with senior executives from major UK food companies—those who see supply chain vulnerabilities firsthand but face competitive constraints. Your task is to create safe, confidential spaces for these professionals to address industry-wide challenges, transforming frustration into collective action.
Recent events have exposed the fragility of our food systems. Climate whistleblowers from major UK food companies have warned of "wishful thinking" on climate risks, potential supply chain catastrophes, and resilience plans based on "false reassurances." The professionals you work with are insiders—ready to drive change.
This isn’t about attacking industry but helping it survive and thrive. You will facilitate sensitive conversations, protect anonymity, and amplify collective voice, translating insights into strategic campaigns such as shareholder actions, regulatory briefings, and resilience planning.
Requirements include at least 10 years experience and deep knowledge of the UK food industry, gained through senior FMCG consulting at major firms or in-house roles at companies with £500m+ turnover. You should be a natural facilitator, comfortable in high-trust environments, entrepreneurial, and resilient in conflict situations.
This hands-on role offers significant growth potential. You will recruit insiders, manage partnerships, and develop methodologies to reshape industry responses to systemic challenges. A genuine belief in industry transformation as a solution to social and environmental issues is essential.
We are committed to diversity and encourage applications from underrepresented backgrounds. If pioneering new approaches to industry change excites you, we look forward to hearing from you.
