About The Service
Our Internal Transport Department plays a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults, ensuring they can safely and reliably access day centres and other essential activities that promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion.
Our organization runs a fleet of minibuses to meet a wide range of mobility needs, including specialist accessibility requirements. We work closely with colleagues across Adult Services, day opportunities, and other internal departments to deliver a person‑centred transport service that prioritises dignity, safety, and respect at every stage of the journey.
We also operate the borough’s Meals on Wheels service, ensuring timely delivery of hot, nutritious meals to vulnerable residents who require additional support at home.
