Nu Quantum – Digital Marketing Manager (Part-time)
Nu Quantum is at the forefront of quantum computing and advanced technology, driven by innovation, diversity, and a commitment to excellence. Founded to commercialise research generated over the last decade at the Cavendish Laboratory, we shape the future of quantum information systems and accelerate time‑to‑market for quantum computing systems. We integrate novel quantum photonic technology to build efficient and scalable quantum networking infrastructure in partnership with world‑leading companies and academic groups.
Please note that this is a part‑time role (15–22.5 hours per week) with a minimum of one day per week onsite at our Cambridge office. Working days and hours are open to discussion and will be agreed on a regular, fixed schedule.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Oversee the content calendar, ensuring all outputs align with our brand's tone of voice and guidelines.
* Develop diverse written and visual content, including explainers, video segments, guides, infographics, short‑form posts, utilising design tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite.
* Stay updated with industry‑relevant topics to keep our content relevant.
* Work with other departments to source insights or stories that resonate with our audiences.
Social Media Management
* Create draft posts for LinkedIn and X, aligning with our social media plan and ensuring consistency and brand values.
* Engage with our audience by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions to foster community and trust.
* Monitor trends and adapt our approach to leverage popular themes or discussions.
Email
* Design, test and deploy email campaigns that capture the attention of our segmented audience while adhering to brand guidelines.
* Produce compelling email content, including copy, graphics and other media.
* Maintain database accuracy after events or lead campaigns.
* Monitor key metrics of email campaigns, including open rates, click‑through rates, conversion rates and bounce rates.
Events and Other
* Analyse content performance metrics, delivering monthly reports and identifying areas for improvement.
* Support a range of marketing‑related tasks or projects as needed.
* Assist with the production or liaison of overall marketing activities and company events.
* Work alongside other team members to create and execute an internal communications plan.
Requirements
* Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
* Proven experience in digital marketing, content creation and social media management.
* Proficiency with social media platforms and marketing software, e.g. LinkedIn, X, Sproutsocial, Crowdfire, HubSpot.
* Ability to monitor content performance metrics and generate monthly reports.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for informed decisions.
* Aptitude to suggest improvements based on content performance data.
* Some experience with graphic design and video editing.
* Exceptional attention to detail and meticulous task management.
* Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, including cross‑functional collaboration with non‑marketing experts.
Desirable Skills (Not Required)
* Graphic design and video editing skills, with proficiency in Adobe Suite.
* Ideally a scientific or engineering background, and/or experience in the Tech, Deep‑Tech or Quantum Computing industries.
* Experience crafting consistent brand‑aligned content, including videos for social media platforms.
