A fantastic opportunity for a hard-working, driven, and enthusiastic engineer to carry out general engineering installations (including heating, environmental monitoring, general temporary fume, and ventilation installations, water-treatment), primarily in Scotland and north of England. Typically, installations take no longer than a day and are for hire equipment of a temporary nature. You will assist with equipment breakdowns as needed, carry out technical surveys on customers' sites, with workshop/warehouse activities as necessary. A company van will be provided for business use. Some installs may require an overnight stay. Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Carry out on-site technical engineering installations on all Company equipment types Liaise with and instruct site agents on the use of equipment. Carry out equipment breakdowns as and when required. Maintain a high level of site health and safety awareness Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment in the 'ready for hire' process Assist in carrying out general warehouse duties in Scotland depot (if required) Carry out deliveries/collections of Company equipment. Assist with carrying out site surveys for sales and operations.
