Working in the world of care, we're dedicated to providing excellent support and exceptional care to our customers at Blueleaf. As a leading supplier of care products, consumables and furniture, we're looking to recruit a permanent, full time Customer Service Team Leader to join our energetic Customer Service Team in our Castleford location. An understanding, empathetic attitude will be required to ensure the best service is provided to our loyal customers, whether this be over the phone, email or live chat. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of the Sales approach along with experience in using different customer service techniques to keep the well-developed business relationship. The Customer Service Team Leader supports the daily running of the Customer Service Team by guiding colleagues, resolving escalated queries, and ensuring a high standard of service. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the role helps coordinate workloads and supports continuous improvement across the team. This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, typical working hours are from 8am to 4:30pm. Immediate start is available. Blueleaf is an equal opportunities employer. Your day to day responsibilities: Lead by Example: Model exceptional service standards across all customer interactions – phone and email. Work Allocation: Assist the manager with daily workload planning, ensuring even distribution and timely response to all tasks. Issue Resolution: Take ownership of more complex queries or complaints, working with the team to achieve positive outcomes. Communication: Keep the team informed with key updates and contribute to regular huddles, check-ins, and team meetings. Collaboration: Liaise across departments (e.g. Sales, Warehouse, Finance) to resolve customer issues quickly and effectively. Team Culture: Foster a collaborative, respectful, and positive team environment aligned with our Blueleaf values. ERP Ownership: Support the accurate use of NetSuite (ERP system) for task tracking, data updates, and case management. Process Improvement: Provide feedback on systems and workflows to the manager improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Coaching & Development: Share knowledge and support the onboarding of new team members. Daily Support: Be the go-to person for questions, challenges, and first-line escalations within the team. Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years in a customer service role. Proven success in handling customer queries and complaints to Blueleaf standards. What will we offer?
