An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a civil engineering contractor delivering critical upgrade works at one of London’s most iconic stations.\n\nThis role offers a high-profile setting, working on a multi-disciplinary programme of works focused on rail infrastructure, structural upgrades, and station redevelopment. As a key commercial lead on-site, you’ll work closely with both the project and commercial teams to maintain control of costs, contracts, and reporting — while supporting efficient project delivery in a complex live environment.\n\nThe Role\n\n * \n\n Commercial oversight of key work packages across civil and structural disciplines.\n\n * \n\n Preparation and submission of interim valuations, final accounts, and cost forecasts.\n\n * \n\n Management of subcontract procurement and ongoing commercial administration.\n\n * \n\n Active involvement in contract management, primarily under NEC forms.\n\n * \n\n Identification and mitigation of risk, while ensuring opportunities are captured.\n\n * \n\n Collaboration with project managers and client-side teams to ensure commercial alignment and compliance.\n\n * \n\n Tracking of project performance through robust CVRs and internal reporting tools.\n\n * \n\n Supporting junior team members where required and working closely with the Commercial Manager.\n\nRequirements\n\n * \n\n Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS on infrastructure projects.\n\n * \n\n Experience working on high-profile, high-footfall sites or live environments.\n\n * \n\n Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (Particularly option C)\n\n * \n\n Demonstrated ability in cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.\n\n * \n\n Confident communicator with both site teams and client stakeholders.\n\n * \n\n Proficient in managing change control and final accounts.\n\nDesirable\n\n * \n\n Experience managing subcontracts with design teams and an understanding of how design risk can be commercially controlled.\n\n * \n\n Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.\n\n * \n\n Working towards or holding RICS membership.\n\n * \n\n Previous experience delivering station or transport hub upgrades.\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of London Underground or Network Rail procedures is an advantage.\n\nPackage\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary aligned with London market expectations.\n\n * \n\n Company car or travel allowance.\n\n * \n\n Private medical insurance.\n\n * \n\n Enhanced pension contributions.\n\n * \n\n 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.\n\n * \n\n Flexible benefits and wellbeing support.\n\n * \n\n Career progression within a contractor known for delivering complex infrastructure projects
