You will support Londoners at risk of fuel poverty, helping them reduce their energy costs and make a real difference—all while leading a team.
This role involves making 2–3 visits per day in London, primarily in West / North West London. A typical visit will involve assessing energy needs and exploring ways to lower bills, such as:
1. Energy-saving advice, including supporting people with switching suppliers or suggesting energy-efficient times to use power.
2. Practical support, such as installing energy-saving light bulbs or simple draught-proofing (training provided).
3. Accessing grants or bill support, such as applying for grants for white goods or cavity wall insulation, or helping with bill write-offs.
You’ll manage a small team, dedicating one day a week to shadow team members on their visits and having them shadow you to ensure best practices.
To apply, the charity welcomes candidates from diverse backgrounds. Ideally, you’ll have experience in energy advice and some management or supervisory experience. However, experience working with vulnerable clients, visiting people in their homes, and supervisory experience are also valuable.
The role is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, typically 9 am to 5:30 pm, with core hours from 10 am to 3 pm, offering flexibility. A driver’s license is required.
